1. International Antarctic Centre 

Antarctic Attraction at  International Antarctic Centre

The International Antarctic Centre's aim is to re-create the atmosphere and environment of Antarctica, providing visitors with an interactive, fun and exciting experience of the 'Great White South.'Located next to Christchurch International Airport, the attraction includes an Antarctic storm, the amazing Hagglund all-terrain vehicle, the 'Penguin Encounter' and the new '4D Extreme' theatre featuring an exhilarating movie of a voyage to the icy continent.

2. Christchurch Cathedral & Cathedral Squar

At the heart of Christchurch is Cathedral Square, an area adorned with beautiful Gothic Revival churches and cathedrals built during England's early days in New Zealand. The cathedral spires are accessible at a fee and you'll be able to catch an amazing view of the city from the top.









3. Taylor's Mistake
Taylors Mistake is a great place for a variety of different sports activities. The area is extremely popular with surfers but there's more here than just riding the waves. You can enjoy a great mountain bike trail and a hiking path. The area is also home to several different historical military sites.

4. Sumner Beach

Come to experience a summer beach holiday!!
The area is great for swimming and lounging, but there are also terrific ice cream shops, cafes and restaurants near the beach to really give you plenty of holiday enjoyment.

5. Whale Watching Kaikoura

Rich in marine life the name Kaikoura steams from the Maori translation, Kai - food, koura - crayfish. Located 2.5 hours drive north of Christchurch the deep undersea canyons and sea currents of the Kaikoura area are a mecca for a vast array of marine life including the year round Giant Sperm Whales! Board your Whale Watch vessel to view these marvelous creatures and a wealth of other marine life.

What a bad news!!
AirAsia X will stop flying between Kuala Lumpur and Christchurch at the end of May 2012, just over a year after the service started.The current four times weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Christchurch will be suspended with the last flights on May 30 from Kuala Lumpur and the return next day.
